Holding our attention are the clear similarities between Riva 1920 & Zeitraum Möbel.
Both companies have been manufacturing solid wood furniture for the last 20 years. Both espouse ethical philosophies which flow through to the manufacturing of their collections; special attention to sourcing the wood from sustainable forests with replaceable stock; chemical treatment is avoided, using only natural finishes with organic oils and waxes.
The Riva 1920 & Zeitraum Möbel collections are complete with furniture suitable for diverse interiors. The pieces are for those who appreciate wood and cherish the environment. They are for life and are timeless. This is where the similarities end.
Riva 1920, the entire collection is made in Italy, have a mixture of pieces that look less finished as well as more homely and, then, the simple designs made grand by exquisite Kauri wood.
Zeitraum Möbel, with the majority made in Germany, have strong lines and a more contemporary look. Albeit a softer presence is possible with certain pieces available with fabric and leather upholstery.
