Outdoors' at the Milan Fair 2011

The Spring is a good time to have outdoor furniture collections at the forefront, especially with the Milan Fair held annually in the month of April, and what with the sunny days we are experiencing in the UK. This is the year to bring the 'inside' 'outside'...

We took delight in viewing and experiencing the outdoor furniture on display at the Fair. In particular Driade, Gandia Blasco & Baxter.

Driade displayed a range of their dining, lounging and easy chairs 'Cape West' by Ludovica & Roberto Palomba. These pieces are available in a colourful range.

It was the Gandia Blasco 'Cristal Box', the outdoor pergola system, which inspired our outdoor vision.

Baxter, renowned for a beautiful range of leather upholstery for interiors, displayed furniture perfect for verandas and balconies with a range of leather upholstery now treated to prevent damage from outdoor elements.

Our experience was further enhanced with our visit outside the Fair.

At Paola Lenti, the setting complimented the fine pieces. The complete collection was displayed for visitors to delight in. Paola Lenti uses traditional and high-tech yarns for a distant outdoor and indoor collection in an exclusive colour range.

Last but not least, on display at B&B Italia, the 'Charles Outdoor'. This is the ultimate 'inside' 'outside', with the best-seller modular sofa range, together with armchairs, available for the outdoors.

These are the names of the new objects designed by the architect Roberto Lazzeroni for Baxter for the 2011 edition of the International Furniture Exhibition in Milan. They are part of a new family of in/out chairs, the result of a project which explores new possibilities for living out in the open.
