Baxter explores new possibilities for living out in the open

Baxter

PEDRO · BEATRIZ · BOLIVAR

These are the names of the new objects designed by the architect Roberto Lazzeroni for Baxter for the 2011 edition of the International Furniture Exhibition in Milan. They are part of a new family of in/out chairs, the result of a project which explores new possibilities for living out in the open.

With a strong visual impact, they have forms that recall pure brazilian inspiration, found in the architecture of Oscar Niemeyer and the Designs of Sergio Rodriguez. The naturalness of the materials used, and the treatment processes, celebrate ageing as an added value. This is a different approach to outdoor furniture which is normally based upon products that are unchangeable in the face of nature.

These Baxter pieces are made of materials which are already worn and oxidised, created to live symbiotically with nature, but also for using inside the home within an authentic, strict furniture living plan.
