Riva 1920

90 years and three generations (the fourth generation is already playing a part in running the Company) have passed since RIVA, a small craft workshop manufacturing bespoke furniture, started its adventure in the world of design.

From 1989 onwards, a single, unswerving principle has guided our work: produce furniture conceived by great designers, using only solid wood from sustainable forests and natural finishes to create a natural home suffused with the scents of wood, oils and wax. And to offer a product made completely in Italy.

RIVA furniture is made exclusively using wood from sustainably managed forests, in a spirit of respect for nature and in line with both local and international laws and organizations.

These are the names of the new objects designed by the architect Roberto Lazzeroni for Baxter for the 2011 edition of the International Furniture Exhibition in Milan. They are part of a new family of in/out chairs, the result of a project which explores new possibilities for living out in the open.
